About

In January 2013 Tim Williamson will begin his attempt to become the first person to walk solo and unsupported to and from the North Pole, covering a distance of 2,200 miles over 120 days. It’s a challenge so awe inspiringly treacherous and uncompromisingly demanding that nobody in the entire history of polar expeditions has even considered it, until now.

If he completes, what will be the longest ever recorded solo and unsupported journey it will also be the first North Pole attempt to go from civilisation to civilisation and the greenest as Tim won’t be using a chartered aircraft.
